Secure ID, LLC can provide your law enforcement agency with HR218 Certification Cards for retired law enforcement. We have a program in place to make it easy for your department to issue HR218 cards.
· Our HR218 cards are customized for each department and meet the statutory requirements for certification cards.
· Your department must certify the former officer by offering firearms training or accepting a training certificate showing they passed the standard firearm qualifications course for active law enforcement officers.
· The card will have an expiration of one (1) year from the date of the qualification.
· Our cards are durable, credit card size and waterproof. We use the same equipment to issue government ID badges and employee credentialing.
· The cost of the card is $24.95 plus tax (if applicable) and shipping. Renewal certification cards are $19.95. We offer a 30-day invoice sent directly to the former officer.
o Acknowledgment that the employee is eligible for an HR218 certification card through your department on letterhead or official department email.
o The date of their last firearms qualification.
o An electronic image of the department’s patch or badge to be used on the card.
o Your department’s preference for card numbering system on your HR218 certification cards.
o A current headshot with a plain background (does not need to be a professional photo).
o Current street address, no PO boxes.
o Physical description of the card holder.
